JPO opening car door.  JPO at crosswalk

Stay posted for updates to our JPO program for the 2020-2021 School Year.

JPO’s work early in the morning and have to be at the JPO by 6:45 a.m. They open the car doors for students and hold the stop signs so the people can cross the street. In the morning,  they work approximately 30 minutes. In the afternoon, they work approximately 20 minutes.

The JPO’s have 4 teams and they have approximately 12 students per team. Each team has two co-captains that are in charge of assigning duties to all the team members. The teams work about one week a month.

All JPO’S are expected to bring their own shoes and bring their own whistle to duty. In addition, the school provides a yellow helmet and reflective vest for to wear on duty. They wear the vest during morning and afternoon to duty including the morning recess. JPO’s have an optional choice to bring their own umbrella on rainy days. School provides rain jackets.

Please see Mrs. Chardene Metcalfe for more information or for an application to be a part of JPO.
